Q. Is this a membership or a one-time payment?
A. A membership is required to get started, but you can cancel anytime.
We deliver these services to you each month, based on your membership
level.
Q. What is your turnaround time for transcripts?
A. 72 hours from the time we accept your project.
Q. Do you charge by the audio hour or by the
word?
A. We charge by the minute and your
membership includes a certain number of minutes. If you need more
than your membership allotment, you can purchase additional audio
minutes at a discounted price. The discounted price is determined by
your membership level.
Q. Do you do any light editing while transcribing?
A. All transcription projects are delivered as
cleaned up transcriptions which means that the basic patterns of
speech are eliminated. The ums and uhs are removed, unless you
request otherwise.
Q. If I don't use all my minutes in one month, can I
transfer the unused minutes to the next month?
A. Yes, minutes can be rolled over to the following
month. However, please note that if you accumulate minutes and
submit a particularly large project, the turnaround time for your
project may need to be extended. We will inform you of any extra
time needed when accepting your project.
Q. Can I sign up for just 1 month to see how the
service goes? Are there any contracts or obligations to continue?
A. There are no contracts or minimum membership
requirements. You can cancel your membership at anytime.
Q. What payment method do you accept and how do you
bill?
A. We accept PayPal. Our monthly memberships are paid
monthly and you choose when your subscription starts. Automatic
payments are set up through our membership site and PayPal. Any needs
that go above and beyond the basic membership are invoiced via PayPal
when the content/transcription is delivered. For example, if you want
additional transcription above your membership allotment then that
additional fee would be invoiced when the transcription is delivered.
Q. How do you accept audio files and how do you
deliver the transcripts?
A. Most file formats are acceptable including most video
files.
However, MP3 is the easiest to receive. All transcriptions are
delivered as .doc and .pdf files unless another supported file format is
requested.
Q. Is there an extra fee to process and transcribe
the audio portion of a video?
A. No, we will transcribe your video at no extra charge.
